Cortalyst is operated by Shore10, a sole proprietorship ("Shore10," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use Cortalyst, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors and registered users of the Cortalyst website and dashboard.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Watchlist and preferences. If you're a paid subscriber, we store the stock symbols and industries you choose to follow so we can personalize your dashboard.

Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers so we can manage your subscription status - we do not receive or store your card number or other payment card details; those are handled entirely by Stripe.

Usage and technical data. Like most websites, our servers log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. We use cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

How We Use Information

We use the information above to:

• Provide and personalize the Cortalyst service, including generating your dashboard
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send you service-related communications (for example, account or billing notices)
• Maintain the security and integrity of the service

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate Cortalyst:

• Stripe - payment processing and subscription billing
• Finnhub, Twelve Data, and NewsAPI - market data, company news, and technical indicators used to generate signals. These providers receive stock symbols and market-related queries, not your account identity
• OpenAI - generates the market signal analysis from aggregated news and technical data. OpenAI does not receive your name, email, or account information as part of this process

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy and only to the extent necessary to provide their service to us.

Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your Rights and Choices

You can review or update your account information at any time while signed in. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the address below. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) to request disclosure of, or deletion of, personal information we hold about you; we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures - including encrypted connections and hashed passwords - to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Cortalyst is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
